Description

This position will report directly into the CFO and is responsible for the accounting operations of the company including sales reporting, inventory management, treasury and cash management, fixed asset and sales tax compliance. They will have a leading role in our upcoming MS Dynamics Great Plains implementation. Tax experience is required.
Lead all day to day accounting operations with responsibility for the accounting team
General ledger accounting and reporting, sales reporting, inventory management, treasury and cash management, fixed asset and sales tax compliance
Ensure all government compliance requirements including sales tax filings
Work with the CFO to ensure data integrity and consistency in data across the company (across various sources).
Key individual in the implementation of MS Dynamics Great Plains, Vendor Portal and streamlining the AP process
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement closing activities and the preparation of related financial statements
Monitor and maintain cash/liquidity and ongoing compliance with bank lending requirements
Develop, maintain and implement a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Assessment, design, and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting and other business process improvements.
Monitor ongoing compliance and makes recommendations for improvement
Maintain the Company's general ledger chart of accounts and reporting hierarchy
Assist in the identification, analysis, and implementation of revenue generating or expense saving opportunities
Manage audit and tax relationships
Manage PCard/credit card relationships
Key Role Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, CPA required
Experience: 10+ years of relevant accounting experience in a high growth environment, including 4+ years of supervisory experience required
Tax experience required
Thorough knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
Knowledge of policies and practices associated with payroll and benefits administration
Ability to effectively direct and supervise a team of accounting professionals
Experience with the assessment and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting
Experience with large ERP systems (MS Dynamics Great Plains preferred)
Experience with travel and expense management software
Open to change and committed to continuous process improvement
Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline intensive environment
Logical thinker with strong analytical, problem solving, and research skills
Ability to exercise sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions
Mix of Big 4/National public accounting and private industry accounting experience preferred
Strong and stable presence with ability to interact with senior leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
