This position reports to our Corporate Accounting Manager and will be part of the team that completes our month-end close. Our ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of accounting theory and will be self-driven.
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for accurately handling the day-to-day accounting functions and financial information (including monthly routines) required by internal and external clients and customers in order to achieve the functional area's objectives and timely financial closing. We require the successful candidate to have familiarity of commonly used accounting concepts, practices, policies and procedures in accordance with IFRS. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the month end close and preparing the financials
Responsible for General Accounting and Reporting
Running Ad Hoc Reports as needed
Special Projects as assigned by management
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Master’s in Accounting or Finance is preferred
3-to-5 years of related experience
Certified Public Accountant, public accounting experience preferred
Strong Microsoft Excel skills required and other Microsoft Office products
Excellent mathematical and computational skills
Familiarity with Hyperion and/or Oracle
Ability to apply strong problem solving techniques
Experienced and skilled in reconciliations
Self-starter and team player.
Critical thinker, excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills sufficient to generate creative solutions.
Requires ability to work independently, with minimal direction, as well as cooperatively in a team environment.
Advanced time management skills and ability to multi task. Must be able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
