Position Summary:
We are seeking a senior level Internal Auditor to lead and conduct audits in an effective and efficient manner based on our risk based audit approach. The goal of Internal Audit and the senior auditor is to focus on process improvement, protection of assets, and advancing best practices across the companies.
Responsibilities:
Applies an advanced and in depth knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, and test and sampling methods
Utilizes business related software tools, including computer assisted auditing techniques and will be a key player in the development of continuous auditing
Will act as a lead to more inexperienced auditors and assists in training new associates within the department
Researches and recommends new policies, programs, and procedures
Keeps abreast of current developments in auditing, risk management, governance, accounting, information technology, security and fraud detection concepts and emerging issues
Qualifications:
6 - 10 years operational/financial/accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business
Experience in operational audits, audits of financial statements and internal audit experience
Demonstrates superior analytical ability and strong customer-service orientation
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
Experience with computer assisted audit techniques and data analysis software such as ACL or IDEA (IDEA is preferred)
Advance Microsoft Excel skills – must have experience with Macros and V-Lookups
CPA license, CIA certification, or other accredited accounting/auditing-related certification is preferred
Demonstrated skill for presenting new and complex ideas to executive, management, and staff levels Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Ability to provide for own transportation for assignments within driving distance of the Philadelphia office (350 mile radius) Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products
Ability to travel up to 45%
